The project ‘bridges and channels (It’s nothing personal)’
is a research about Austrian engineer Luigi Negrelli who lived from 1799 to 1858.
He worked for the uprising railway industry, building roads, tracks and bridges. His main work remains the planning of the Suez channel in Egypt, which has been finished in 1869 by Ferdinand de Lesseps.

The cultural implications of this construction are vast and cover many aspects of personal interest, as
graphics,
poltical conflict and
adventurous history.

Kommando Otl Aicher

A longterm research about German graphic designer Otl Aicher (1922 - 1991) with a focus on the Olympic Games in 1972. His work for those Games as an open and cheerful event was affronted to the attacks of the Palestinian Black September.

An exhibition at luxus-berlin at the occasion of the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 tried to visualize this conflict.

The results of the research at JanVanEyck-academy in Maastricht/NL will be published in 2011.

Typografie des Terrors (I)

At gallery ‘M&N’ in Berlin this installation was made about graphics, measuring and terror. It’s based on an anonymous chart representing a certain number of attacks. ‘Typografie’ not ‘Topografie’. Google it and you only will find typing errors.
Tape on wall, texture band, hooks.
